- DNS, SMTP, and cPanel Issues
-
We recently updated all of our nameservers, due to one of the IP addresses associated with our primary nameservers being faulty. The problem was fixed, but DNS was switching back and forth all day (yesterday) resulting in downtime and other service malfunctions (such as SMTP, forwarding, and other major functions that rely on DNS).
After that, we had to update these new nameservers with cPanel, rendering cPanel usless until the new IP addresses were regsistered with cPanel. That has been taken care of and cPanel is up and running once again.
However, we will be changing one final IP address tonight (ns2.hostingchoice.net), so there will be slight downtime but not much - the main nameserver is ns1.hostingchoice.net and we are only updating the secondary IP so the switch should be quick and painless.
If you experience any further problems please send an e-mail to support@hostingchoice.net immediately.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

- Kernel Issues
-
Our 64 bit version of CentOS has been acting up lately, mainly with cPanel. Our team has decided to backup all accounts and bring the server down to install the 32 bit version of CentOS to eliminate these kernel issues. This should happen within the next few days, and I will post another entry when it has been completed. Thank you for your patience.
